about

A few words from the artist on the inspiration for this auditory journey:

"I started work on this EP by sampling a piece for oboe and string ensemble. Autowarp on Live decreed that the tempo was around 185 (the original piece doesn't really have a tempo). I kept this, even though it's much faster when compared to what I'm used to, and found it was an interesting opportunity to try my hand at it.

The decision to continue in a truly experimental direction was taken and I was off on a journey to sample a lot of classical music from the second half of the 20th century, in which I discovered a lot of extraordinary and innovative things in terms of textures, climates and odd sound events.

Having been in contact with Aditya (AVAlien) from Post Modern Music, I proposed the EP concept, as I believed it might fit in with the label's adventurous and demanding artistic direction.

Having produced the first three tracks, I decided to create another piece as a tribute to our dear Goa Gil for all he has done for the psychedelic trance movement, and as a 'thank you' for supporting and playing my music in his rituals.

Deepest gratitude to David (The Dogs of Tears - Xexify Studios) for the top-notch mastering, and to Azra J for creating this wonderful cover."
